The Challenge
Rotherham Council required a bespoke mobile CCTV unit that could be deployed for crowd monitoring, event management and major incident planning.
The vehicle conversions needed to provide a high level of visibility and monitoring capability while also being capable of operating independently on location. This meant integrating advanced surveillance technology with a reliable onboard power system and remote control functionality.

What We Did
MIS Conversions worked closely with Rotherham Council to design and build the vehicle from the ground up, creating a fully bespoke mobile CCTV unit tailored to their needs.
Key features of the conversion included:
- Two fully telescopic roof-mounted camera towers
- Remote-operated PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) camera heads for wide-area monitoring
- A lithium battery bank allowing all onboard equipment to operate with the engine switched off
- An integrated onboard WiFi and computer control system enabling remote operation of the vehicle’s equipment
This combination of surveillance technology and independent power capability ensures the vehicle can be deployed quickly and operate efficiently during events or incidents.
